Dr Martin Stow

Pro-Vice Chancellor: Business Engagement and Enterprise

Martin is responsible for implementing a culture of enterprise and industry collaboration across the University of Leeds. Working closely with stakeholders across city and region, he is responsible for the co-creation and delivery of a university-wide strategy for engaging with businesses and entrepreneurs.

He has over 25 years’ experience working in senior worldwide research and development and strategic leadership roles within the healthcare and life science industries. He has brought more than 25 products to market, most of which were launched globally. Martin has experience working in both multinational businesses and start-up organisations, and understands the challenges faced by both. He is a biochemist by training and holds a PhD from the University of York.
