Gareth leads our innovation community at Nexus. He heads up our team of business engagement and collaboration experts to help more businesses connect to the University of Leeds and wider support networks – in order to help them innovate and grow.

Gareth leads our innovation community at Nexus. He heads up our team of business engagement and collaboration experts to help more businesses connect to the University of Leeds and wider support networks – in order to help them innovate and grow.

Gareth has over 20 years’ experience in commercial, operations and business development roles in the leisure and innovation sectors, including with Oxford Innovation Space. He is a University of Leeds graduate and holds an MBA from Henley Business School.

Nathan is responsible for leading high level collaborations between Nexus member businesses, senior academics at the University of Leeds and key stakeholders in the region’s thriving health tech ecosystem. He also advises on regional, national and international opportunities for our community. 

Nathan is responsible for leading high level collaborations between Nexus member businesses, senior academics at the University of Leeds and key stakeholders in the region’s thriving health tech ecosystem. He also advises on regional, national and international opportunities for our community.

Having previously worked in industry, Nathan has extensive experience in health-related businesses and across the University of Leeds, including within the Faculty of Medicine and Health and the Research and Innovation service.

Dennis works closely with our members to understand their business needs and connects them with the academic expertise, facilities and talent across the University of Leeds and the wider Leeds City Region.

Dennis works closely with our members to understand their business needs and connects them with the academic expertise, facilities and talent across the University of Leeds and the wider Leeds City Region. Dennis has a wealth experience of working in funding fields and is an expert in the field of Research Methodology, Innovation and Data. He joined Nexus from Statistics Netherlands (CBS), where he worked as Grant Development Manager. He is passionate about research and innovation, and working on cutting-edge, cross-disciplinary projects.

Engagement Manager – Nexus

Barry works to promote and manage our growing membership. He is a partnerships specialist and has over 20 years’ experience in business development, customer service and communications.

Barry works to promote and manage our growing membership. He is a partnerships specialist and has over 20 years’ experience in business development, customer service and communications.

Barry has first-hand experience of Nexus and how it can help start-ups and entrepreneurs to develop and grow. He was formerly Chief Relationship Officer at Scaled Insights and played a leading role in the business’ decision to join the Nexus community. He is a big advocate of Leeds as a great place to start and scale businesses, and is able to offer a valuable ‘clients eye’ view to our current and prospective members.
