THE ROLE

The Welcome Host at Nexus Leeds is responsible for creating a positive first impression for visitors and members, ensuring they feel welcomed and supported. This role involves various tasks to enhance the member and visitor experience whilst maintaining a professional and friendly environment.

REPORTING TO

Events and Hospitality Manager.

LOCATION

Leeds City Centre, full time.

SALARY

Full Time – M- F 9.30-6.00pm (38.75 hours per week)  salary £25,500.

Roles and responsibilities

  • Warmly welcome and assist visitors upon arrival. Assist members and visitors with directions and answer any queries they may have.
  • Manage the reception area and business lounge, ensuring it is tidy and presentable.
  • Handle incoming calls, emails and deliveries, directing them to the appropriate colleague or resident member.
  • Ensure all information screens are operating and displaying relevant information about the day’s events and bookings.
  • Assist in the organisation and delivery of events hosted by Nexus Leeds.
  • Provide support during events and ensure guests have a positive experience.
  • Coordinate with event organisers to meet their needs.
  • Maintain visitor logs and records.
  • Manage office supplies and ensure the reception area is stocked.
  • Perform basic administrative duties as required.
  • Address and resolve any member/visitor feedback, complaints, issues or helpdesk reports promptly and escalate as necessary.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all members and visitors.

Skills & qualifications

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and handle a busy reception area.
  • Proficiency in using office software and equipment.
  • Previous experience in a customer service or reception role is preferred.
