Space Enterprise chooses Leeds Nexus for next stage of national expansion
Space Enterprise Labs has chosen University of Leeds’ innovation hub Nexus for the next stage of its national expansion.
The lab at Nexus will be one of only eleven in the country and will work in collaboration with existing space organisations and academic institutions across the UK to provide users with access to the latest collaborative technology, resources and expertise.
Dr Martin Stow, Nexus director, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Space Enterprise Labs to the Nexus business community. As part of the UK’s Satellite Application Catapult, they play a fundamental role in helping small and medium sized businesses and large industry to work together with researchers to develop new ideas and new technology and vitally to commercialise that in order to drive economic growth.”
Lucy Edge, Chief Operations Officer at the Satellite Applications Catapult commented:
“We are delighted to be launching the Space Enterprise Labs at Leeds’ Nexus as we continue to support the growth of the space sector across the UK. These unique facilities embrace the new hybrid way in which we all now engage, while also offering a safe and secure environment to foster UK-wide space innovation and discussion. Businesses across the UK will now be able to collaborate across a range of high-tech, high-innovation subjects, to bring ideas and customers together more effectively.”
The Space Enterprise Lab is available for Nexus members and businesses working in the space sector to book. To learn more about the lab and book the space, visit the Space Enterprise Labs website.
