This time we spoke to Harrison Evans from Itecho Health.

Tell us about yourself?
My name is Harrison, I’m the Director of Research Development and Collaboration at Itecho Health. My background is in exercise psychology and physiology. I’ve supported healthcare across charity, academic, commercial and research sectors and my passion is in using research, innovation, science and technology to improve patient healthcare outcomes.
What does Itecho Health do?
So, at Itecho Health, we are working hard to solve a big problem that the NHS is facing today: the growing demand of patients with long-term health conditions coupled with a shortage in supply staff and resources to manage patients with these conditions. So, working closely with patients and clinicians, we’ve co-designed Acelus. Acelus is a software platform that enables the remote monitoring of patients with long-term conditions. We do this by distinguishing patient care pathways. This brings about benefits for patients who feel more empowered to manage their health and they have increased convenience and benefits for clinicians who are freed to spend more time with patients who have complex cases.
How are you looking to develop your business?
So, there are over 150 different long-term conditions that our Acelus platform could support. And we’re looking to find collaborators, partners and stakeholders to help us build and test Acelus in real-world care settings. We’re practically interested in any innovators working in AI and machine learning to support us in adding innovative modules and components to our platform that will ultimately improve patient care.
