Nexus Meets… Dashe
In our Nexus Meets series, we chat to members of our community to learn more about them and who they’d like to work with.
This time we spoke to Andrew Woodward and Steve Bullen from Dashe.
Watch the video and read the transcript of our conversation below.

Tell us about yourselves
Steve: Hi, I’m Steve Bullen. I’m the Co-founder of Dashe. I’ve been working in sustainability for probably the best part of a decade now.
Before that it was cricket for me. I played about 10 years of county cricket and then went straight into sustainability after injury and form beckoned.
Andrew: And I’m Andrew, I’m the other Co-founder of Dashe. I’ve also been working in sustainability for about 10 years now.
We met at university in our second year and decided to do something about sustainability. And ever since then, the company’s kind of evolved and gone through many different iterations. But here we are today.
What does Dashe do?
Steve: So Dashe, so we’re sustainability software. We help businesses accelerate their decarbonisation by giving them the real-time analysis of their carbon footprint.
So we collect all the data automatically and that gives businesses everything they need to know to decarbonise their exact carbon footprint in real time.
How are you looking to develop your business?
Andrew: For us, at the moment, we’re just releasing our tech. So we’re rolling it out with a few partner businesses, and we’re really looking to partner with other businesses through places like Nexus or membership organisations, to help build and test our platform. And yeah, trying to provide some sort of real-world value for businesses. And that’s only really going to happen from collaboration really.
Who in our community are you looking to collaborate with?
Steve: So, yeah, we’re just looking to partner with any of the businesses across the community, across the university, and really kind of help them across their decarbonization journey.
Andrew: Yeah, yeah, I think that’s it. At this stage it’s all about collaboration and partnership for us.
So anyone interested in getting involved in helping us kind of maybe rejig or change things within the road map. For us it’s about building a tool which is actually useful and provides value for businesses no matter which industry they’re in. So as much feedback as we can get as possible.
And yeah, whether that’s collaboration now or later on down the line, we’re really looking to meet as many people as possible, I guess.
